MFX73 – The IMPACT Edition

MFX73 The Impact Edition is up!!

The bleak days of January are relentless and grey. Thankfully, MFX73 IMPACT Edition is here to warm your soul and tickle your funny bone. Join your heroes Duckman and Sir Ian Trumps as they traverse the week in TNA and life in general.

On the show this week…

They kick the show off with more complaining about horrible new year diets – even Duckman has jumped on the healthy living bandwagon. The lads quiz Ryback about his latest Twitter meltdown and try to get to the truth of what is happening to the Big Guy. They take a look at two new articles on Single Leg Takedown Wrestling, as well as discuss your feedback to last week’s shows. There’s TNA questions from you guys, plus a chat about Jesse Sorensen’s recent shoot interview with Highspots and Dixie Carter’s actions towards him.

Then it’s on to the IMPACT review for this week. This is MFX’s Randy Newman tribute episode. Duckman and Sir Ian try to use the song, ‘You’ve Got a Friend In Me’ in nearly every segment. Well, they had to do something to amuse themselves while reviewing this terrible, terrible show. Dixie Carter owns the world, TNA has no babyfaces of worth and AJ Styles vs. Magnus is so overbooked and dumb, even Vince Russo would blush. A poor show but a tremendous review!

As always, thanks for listening and be sure to get involved in future shows through all the usual channels.

MFX59 – Better Than Perfect.

We’re a day later than normal but fear not MFX Galaxy, this week’s show is a sure fire classic. Join your heroes Duckman and Sir Ian Trumps as they traverse the week in wrestling as only they can.

The show kicks off with Duckman’s review of An Evening with Jim Ross he attended in Glasgow this week. As usual the show descends into chaos with talk of summer movies, your feedback on last week’s show and your emails. They do cover some wrestling news – well they bury the messed up Bound for Glory Series, laugh heartily at Hulk Hogan’s idea to improve TNA and we say goodbye to Todd DiBiase – he will be missed, if not really remembered.

Then it’s on to IMPACT. Time for AJ Styles to get confusing. The two Brooke controversy. Wrestlers in jeans and more!

The show ends on a high this week with a fun episode of RAW and an even more fun review of it. Simple as that really.

As always thanks for listening folks and be sure to get involved in future shows through all the usual channels.

MFX58 – Bye Bye Brick Hogan, Our Guy.

We thought when TNA let DOC go that 40% of our jokes on the IMPACT review had gone. Well, say goodbye to the other 60% because TNA released Brick Hogan. What a tragedy. In honour of Brick’s memory, every song on the show this week will be in tribute to Brick. She’s gone, but never forgotten.

It’s MFX58 folks and while our hearts may be broken at the loss of Brick, there’s still plenty to love about MFX this week. Join your heroes as they traverse the week in WWE and TNA as only they can.

They kick the show off this week with talk about the loss of Brick. There’s all your feedback, emails and other comments. We hear about Sir Ian’s night clubbing, which didn’t go well. Duckman shares a report on Ric Flair getting drunk off his ass and high jacking a Q and A session for the new WWE 2K14 game. Plus they find out why Christian doesn’t like blue dots.

It’s time for the IMPACT review. The show was Hardcore Justice. The matches were good. The segments and storylines…not so much. Story of the last six months in TNA really. The review is fun, Chris Sabin Man-Child is back and there’s plenty of other gigglesome moments for you to enjoy.

Summerslam review is so much fun. A great show, with great matches and a Ryback skit that could spell the end of Ryback’s friendship with Nee Nor!

They wrap the show up this week with a review of Monday Night Raw. It’s a fun show, with some interesting discussion on the future storylines in WWE. Then Ryback appears in a shower skit and the whole show goes to hell!

As always, thanks for listening and enjoy the show!

MFX56 – Tales from the Emergency Room.

You know how last week everyone freaked out because MFX was up a day early? Check us out, we’re posting on TUESDAY this week! That’s right, TUESDAY!

Join your heroes Duckman and Sir Ian Trumps as they traverse the week in life and professional wrestling in a fashion that’s so comedic, it’ll render all other jokes obsolete.

They kick the show off this week with talk about Sir Ian’s trip to the emergency room with kidney stones. Duckman joins the medical kick as he talks about his trip to the osteopath to cure his bad back. They talk your feedback, emails and some of the big stories in the world of wrestling including Randy Orton being attacked by a fan, Kurt Angle’s DUI and the big reveal on IMPACT this week.

Then it’s on to the IMPACT review. This was a newsworthy and controversial episode of IMPACT and we hold nothing back. This is a really fun review, which always descends into chaos, mayhem and jokes about Garrett Bischoff.

They wrap the show up with the RAW review. So it’s more greatness from CM Punk and Brock Lesnar, a weird but effective promo by John Cena and that was really about it. So MFX fill the time with the usual Ryback and Nee Nor tomfoolery. The HHH/Brad Maddox/Gameboy saga continues. There’s some reality TV stars to make fun and a ton more.

Sir Ian was really ill this week and he manned up to record MFX, so be sure to send him your best wishes and laugh along as MFX tear up the week in WWE and TNA in the only way they know how.

Thanks for listening and be sure to get involved in next week’s show through all the usual channels.

MFX55 – RAW is force fields.

Wait a second, it’s Wednesday and MFX is up? That’s right folks, we’re so awesome we decided to give you your weekly dose of MFX goodness a day earlier than normal.

Join your heroes Duckman and Sir Ian as they traverse the week in WWE and TNA in their usual inimitable style. You know how we do this by now: loads of pop culture references, satirical, surreal and utterly hilarious. Oh and some chat about wrestling.

The show kicks off this week with Sir Ian’s adventures in babysitting. We revel in your feedback and more merch ideas. Sir Ian brings the #AskDixie sarcasm tsunami back to MFX and it’s funny. Plus we discuss your emails and actually try to give some serious insight into wrestling.

Then it’s on to the IMPACT review. The show was kind of boring and built around Hogan again but as always we mine a never ending seam of comedy gold. You will never hear IMPACT reviewed like this, anywhere, ever.

We wrap the show up with our review of RAW. Another boring show from WWE which is saved by the continuing adventures of Gameboy and of course Ryback and Nee Nor.

As always, thanks for listening and be sure to get in touch with MFX through all the usual channels.

MFX54 – Ask Dixie

Ah MFX Galaxy. Sometimes this show writes itself. This week is one of those weeks.

Join your heroes Duckman and Sir Ian as they kick the show off with some chat about Sir Ian’s house hunting and the best meal he’s ever had. Duckman talks about looking after his crazy nephew for a week and trippy kids TV. Then it’s on to your feedback and more MFX merch suggestions. They wrap up the show opening with more chat about the woes at TNA. Plus the #AskDixie phenomenon invades MFX – hilarity ensues.

Then it’s on to the IMPACT review – it’s Destination X time folks! This was a fun episode of IMPACT, choked full of the usual good, weird and downright dumb TNA segments. Duckman and Sir Ian laugh, cry and lament what could be the beginning of the end for TNA. Or not, maybe we’re just being overly dramatic!

As always the show wraps up with the RAW review. RAW this week can be broken down into two parts. The first two hours, which were utterly horrible. And the final hour, which had one of the best promo exchanges of recent years with Punk and Heyman, plus 30 minutes of Daniel Bryan wrestling master class 101. Another fun review and plenty of the usual MFX high jinks to keep you thoroughly entertained.

Remember to donate a couple of bucks and you can be one of a select group who can hear a little teaser of what might happen if Sir Ian calls TNA in the future.

As always thanks for listening, be sure to get in touch through all the usual channels and enjoy the show!

MFX53 – In Doc We Trust – GAWD-BYE!

Sad times at the MFX studios this week folks, as news broke that DOC of Aces and Eights has been released by TNA. This is a dark day for MFX – mainly because that’s 30% of our jokes during IMPACT gone! Doc, you may be gone, but you will not be forgotten by MFX. We can only hope someone else takes as good care of The Nerd Patrol as you did.

That shocking news aside your heroes of MFX have got another packed show for you this week. They kick things off with all the news on TNA’s latest cuts, as well as a chat about the leaks of WWE PPV results. Sir Ian has an interesting take on who might be behind it. We finish off the show opening with some truly hilarious news about a photo op with a former WWE diva.

Then it’s on to IMPACT (which we recorded before the news of the latest cuts broke) which sees the debut of the MFX ‘try hard ruler of the week award’ as well as all the usual MFX fun and games.

Of course we review Money In the Bank and RAW. The RAW review was ridiculous this week – it must be the heat wave that caused it. HHH’s new nemesis appears on the scene and you can be sure his secret life with Brad Maddox will never be the same again!

As always thanks for listening, enjoy the show – oh AND BUY SOME MERCH!

MFX52 – If It’s Bo – We Wyatt

The sun is shining, British sporting triumph keeps on coming and to make it all the sweeter – MFX is back! For some reason Duckman’s mic was a bit rubbish in the show opening and the IMPACT review but we fixed it for the RAW review – hopefully it’s not too annoying for you all.

Join your heroes as they open the show with some chat about Andy Murray, The British Lions and UFC162. Plus they discuss your ideas for MFX merchandise and slogans. They pay tribute to four anniversaries of major events in wrestling history.
Then it’s on to IMPACT. Quite a fun show this week with the best match of the week in the main event. Gut Check is ripped a new one. There’s singing, there’s impressions, there’s loads of jokes about ill fitting suits and Jeff Hardy has a breakdown!

They wrap the show up this week with the usual MFX review of RAW. It was Vickie’s Gut Check and The Wyatt Family’s debut. One was awesome, the other involved a middle aged woman climbing a ladder and being annoying. As always there’s singing, there’s impressions and loads of jokes. You know what we do.

As always, thanks for listening and be sure to get in touch with MFX through all the usual channels.

Enjoy the show.

MFX51 – Send In The Clowns

We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We’re going to live on! We’re going to survive! Today we celebrate our MFX day! You see what we did there? We so clever.

It’s MFX51 time folks. Which means it’s time for more exciting adventures with Duckman and Sir Ian Trumps as they traverse life, pop culture and of course the week in WWE and TNA.

Join our heroes as they kick the show off with the MFX Galaxy’s feedback on the epic and historic MFX50 from last week. There’s rumours of possible MFX merchandise coming soon. They talk all the big news in wrestling, including Brick Hogan getting engaged, TNA cutting jobbers and they discuss the death of Matt Bourne, formerly Doink The Clown. We also learn all about Sir Ian’s phobia of clowns and his wife’s AWESOME plan to mess with his mind. It’s one of the funniest things Duckman has ever heard in his life.

Then it’s IMPACT review time. The show was a bit boring but somehow our intrepid smarks are able to mine some serious comedy gold. They have far too much fun with Gut Check this week. Plus there’s a great story about Sir Ian’s terrible Halloween costume his Mum made him, TJ Hooker memories and of course, lots of jokes about Hogan, Suicide and The Main Event Memes.

We wrap up this week with a review of one of the most boring episodes of RAW of the year. Sir Ian gets so depressed talking about how boring the show was, he actually has to apologise to the MFX Galaxy for failing to bring the goods this week. Don’t worry, it’s not that bad. There are a few chuckles to be had. Don’t be confused though – RAW was boring.

As always, thanks for listening and be sure to get in touch with MFX through all the usual channels.

Enjoy the show.

MFX50 – Shroomgate, Knucklehead and more.

MFX Galaxy it’s time to put on your party frocks, take a couple of shots of whiskey, and rock out – it’s MFX 50!  Five hours of the most pant wettingly funny wrestling podcast you’ll find anywhere on these here interwebs.

Our heroes kick off the show with news on Sir Ian’s birthday, plus some wrestling news, before we delve back into the past of Duckman.  It’s time for Shroomgate people.  Get ready to have your minds blown…or at least get ready to giggle.

Another poor episode of IMPACT is given the usual MFX treatment.  Doc vs. Anderson for the Aces and Eight VP spot in a presidential style race is a particular highlight.

RAW is Bryan.  An eventful , if little disjointed episode of RAW is another fun filled ride through Vince’s zany show.  You guys know how we do this by now.

Finally our heroes reach their biggest challenge to date – to review WWE’s movie Knucklehead, starring the Big Show.  You voted for this MFX Galaxy, so you’ve only got yourselves to blame.  Actually the review is a lot of fun, it’s in our usual style and wouldn’t you know it – Knucklehead becomes entertaining…somehow.

It’s a special show for us this week folks.  Would love to hear some feedback on the show, hell even some of your own highlights of the past 50 shows.  Thanks for all the support over the past 50 shows and here’s to 50 more!
